Your holistic education at NHC, doesn't stop with outstanding academics. We assist our graduates to apply for onsite internship or volunteer program in the field of their choice! “hands on” environment with professionals in your field! If accepted by one of our internship providers you will be able to ghost and assist other holistic health care professionals who will help you gain an applied understanding of holistic health practices.

Internship FAQ's

Q: What type of Internship programs do you offer?
A: NHC is continuously striving to help provide paid or volunteer type internships that range from Ayurveda Health Practices, Herbal Pharmacies, Nutritional Stores, Holistic Health Practices, Nutritional Consultants, and much more.

Please Note: Each Internship / Volunteer provider have specific Internship requirements. This means that not every applicant will be rewarded an internship. NHC doesn’t award the actual Internships. NHC simply makes the introduction between both parties.

Q: Are the Internship programs really free?
A: NHC will support each student in attempting to help acquire an Internship or enter into a volunteer program. This service is free to our students. However, some providers do have programs that require the students to pay to attend their programs. This is primarily because they include some things such as meals, housing, teaching facilities etc.

Most Internship or Volunteer providers require students obtain their own travel expenses, housing, travel, and living expenses while they are there. So if you are planning on applying for an Internship or Volunteer program please plan for these expenses.

Q: Do you offer any internship locally in my geographical area?
A: At NHC we understand sometimes traveling for many of the students is out of the question and we also understand the importance of taking part in your local community. For this reason our Career Services Center will assist NHC students with internship opportunity in the holistic related business in your community, given that you provide us the business name and contact that you are interested in. Our Career Service Counselors are willing to pursue them and try to work out a program that is right for you.

Q: Where are the Internship programs located?
A: The Internship or Volunteer programs are primarily located in USA & Canada. However there is no guarantee as availability changes.

Q: Who can participate in the Internship program?
A: Any NHC student who has successfully completed ANY of our programs

Q: How long are the Internship Programs?
A: NHC Internships are normally 2-4 weeks. We do however, have programs that can be up to 3 months, but that's totally up to you.

Q: How do I join an Internship program?
A: Once you graduate simply let the NHC's Student Services know what field you are interested in and we will help find the right Internship for you! Internships are 100% optional.
